Camira, Global Fabric Manufacturer, Unveils AI Image Search Tool in the UK

Camira, a leading international textile designer and manufacturer, has launched the UK’s first AI image search tool for the textile industry. This tool aims to simplify the specification process for architects and design professionals.

In partnership with the material search platform Stylib, Camira integrated this advanced technology into its newly revamped website. With this AI image search tool, users can upload images of furniture, fabrics, room settings, or Pantone color references.

Camira’s AI Tool Revolutionizes the Design Process

Sam Birkhead, Head of Digital at Camira, shared his enthusiasm about the company’s new tool. He stated, “We’re incredibly excited to offer this intuitive tool, which helps architects and designers quickly find precise products that meet their specifications. It reduces research time and increases the accuracy of selections.”

Birkhead emphasized the tool’s uniqueness, noting that few B2B companies provide AI image search capabilities—a feature usually seen with major retailers like Ikea and Wayfair.

“These advancements speed up specification processes, leading to more efficient project timelines and higher design quality. AI is transforming the architectural world, driving smarter, more sustainable, and innovative built environments,” he added.

“AI’s ability to analyze vast datasets helps identify eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient solutions, which promotes sustainable design practices,” Naveh explained.

He added, “AI also fosters innovation by giving architects insights into emerging trends and new technologies, empowering them to push creative boundaries.”
