PRIVACY POLICY

AIBoom.uk Privacy Page

Last updated: 19 October 2026

1. Who we are

This website, aiboom.uk, is run by AImpact Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15940186. Our registered office is Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 7DE.

We are the “data controller” for the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide how and why it is used. You can contact us about privacy at hello@aiboom.uk.

We follow the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

2. The short version

  • We only collect what we need to run the site, send you the free guides you ask for, and reply to you.
  • We only email you news and marketing if you tick the box to say yes. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • We do not sell your information.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, free of charge.

3. What we collect and why

When you request our free guides and tools

If you fill in the form on our Free AI Business Guides and Tools page, we collect your work email address and, if you choose to give it, your company name, and whether you ticked the box to receive our newsletter.

  • Why: to send you the guides, the policy template, the audit worksheet and the checklist you asked for.
  • Our legal basis: performing what you asked us to do (a “legitimate interest” in delivering a free resource you requested). If you tick the newsletter box, our legal basis for emailing you is your consent.

Newsletter and updates

If you tick the newsletter box, we use your email address to send you news about AI for business and our books and guides. We use a service called Omnisend to store these details and send the emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

When you contact us

If you email us or use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message so that we can reply. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your questions. Our contact form also has a hidden spam check that does not collect any extra information about you.

Comments

If you leave a comment on an article, we collect the name, email address and website (if any) you enter, and your comment. Comments and names are shown publicly. Your email address is not shown. If you use an email address linked to a Gravatar profile, your Gravatar image may appear next to your comment. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running discussion on the site.

When you just browse

Our web hosting company keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use these to keep the site running and secure. We do not currently run website analytics such as Google Analytics. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and it does not load fonts, scripts or videos from third parties such as Google or Facebook. Any cookies that WordPress sets are essential to how the site works (for example, remembering your details if you leave a comment), so we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add analytics, advertising or embedded third-party content, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; see allaboutcookies.org for how.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with companies that help us run the site, who may only use it on our instructions:

  • Hostinger, our website hosting provider.
  • Omnisend, which stores guide and newsletter sign-ups and sends our emails.
  • Gravatar (Automattic), which supplies profile images on comments.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, or with a professional adviser. If our business is ever sold or merged, your information may be passed to the new owner, who must respect this policy.

6. Sending your information abroad

Some of the companies above, such as Omnisend, may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards the law accepts, such as a UK adequacy decision or approved standard contract terms (the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum), so that your information stays protected.

7. How long we keep your information

  • Guide and newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and we review the list at least once every two years.
  • Emails and contact-form messages: up to 2 years after our last exchange with you.
  • Comments: for as long as the article is on the site, unless you ask us to remove yours.
  • Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, normally no more than 90 days.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to limit how we use it, or object to us using it;
  • ask for the information you gave us in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it (for example by clicking unsubscribe in any email).

To use any of these rights, email hello@aiboom.uk. There is no fee for a normal request. We may ask you to confirm who you are, and we will reply within one month. If your request is very complex, or many in number, we may take up to two further months and will tell you why.

9. Complaints

We would like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us at hello@aiboom.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

10. Keeping your information safe

We use sensible security measures, including secure (HTTPS) connections, and we limit who can access the website’s administration. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take our responsibilities seriously.

11. Links to other websites

Our articles link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

12. Children

Our website and guides are written for business readers and are not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if what we do changes, and we will change the “last updated” date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you by a notice on the site or by email where appropriate.
