The Digital Leaders 2024 report explores the UK’s readiness to harness AI’s potential. Guided by the 7 Lenses of Transformation, Global Government Forum and knowledge partner Cognizant interviewed 10 UK government leaders to assess the state’s preparedness for AI adoption.

According to one leader, implementing AI in government feels like “driving a car with one foot on the accelerator and the other on the brake.” While efforts focus on both AI safety and standards, departments are also exploring deployment.

The report outlines key challenges, barriers, and practical solutions to accelerate AI adoption across government.
